professional video poker
Real poker dealing with money or stick with video games and not loosing money (for fun)?

Any professional poker players out there with good exp., and back exp., dealing with money. Banruptcy, right, poor. I planning to enter a tournament @ bay 101, casino, should i go for it? My experience as a poker player is good, i know the basics and have a good poker face.

Or should i stick to video games just for fun, without money involve.

Forget the folks talking about the casino being the only winner — that’s true of all games of chance.

Poker isn’t a game of chance. Over the long haul, it’s a game of skill with random elements. Good players can and do win money over time. There’s no inherent odds against you besides a table rake, or seat/entry fee.

I can’t tell you if you’re good enough to play with an expectation of winning. But I will warn you of one of Mike Caro’s laws: most players are not as good as they think they are. If you’re not sure, you’re just blowing a lot of money on entertainment.

There are plenty of ways to test yourself in cheap(ish) home games and tournaments to see where you sit, then you have to decide whether to invest to get better and/or take a chance at a sizeable tournament, or save yourself money.
